The Brought Low is the best new classic rock band to hit the scene. Yup, by classic rock I mean the big huge riffs that echo through the house and the inspired vocals that leave you wanting more. The Brought Low is only a three piece band but when you listen to the album you would never know. They sound like a large band with dual guitars but there is only the mighty Ben Smith on guitars. Ben shares vocals with Dean Rispler who also plays bass. The band is rounded out by Nick Heller on drums. The band formed in 1999 in Brooklyn and they take all they learned from other bands they were in to form The Brought Low. The songs have a bit of a southern rock influence to them but the thing they do best is rock. On tracks like the scorching “Motherless Sons the strap on and don’t look back. Some of the songs have a swagger to them like “Kings & Queens. The Brought Low don’t bring anything new to the table but they are qualified musicians and they just want to play for you.
