Indie of the Year contestants Stories Told have a good head on their shoulders so far. After listening to their songs again and again you find that they have a lot of room for improvement. They might be trying a little too hard to sound good, which may sound kind of weird but let me explain. In almost every one of the songs that I listened to from them, they have a part where they try to harmonize or have two verses going on at once.. I would stop that because it kinda sets the sound off. You dont always have to have something like that going on. But if they wanted to keep the two verses, have them sung at different times between vocalist. The screams are amazing, and I would really stick to that as the main source of the vocals. These guys could be a very good screamo/hardcore band if they worked on some more of their hardcore riffs.
I hope to hear more from these guys later on in the future, because after listening to the songs on here, they leave a lot of room for potential. They could even become a harder verson of alexisonfire if they put things together a little bit more. I recommend everyone to check out this band, see if you can find the resemblence between Stories Told and alexisonfire.
