I've had this album sitting in my review pile since before it's release. I like Jens but I have a hard time reviewing his material. It will come, I guarantee. But when, I don't know.

I'm really digging this album as of late: it's very poppy, very fun. Lekman's narrative song writing is wonderfully endearing, and his fusion of orchestral and experimental sounds makes this album well-rounded--giving each song a sound of its own to attach to a memory of Lekman's. "A Postcard to Nina" best epitomizes the entire album; combining charmingly comical lyrics with a sentiment of wistful yearning, Lekman takes a simple narrative and transforms it into a climatic outburst of advice, singing, "Don't let anyone stand in your way."
Though at times Lekman's voice can be over-dominating and the experimental sounds can become repetitive, those are just minor miscues in the big picture. Check out this album for a refreshing taste of the past and present, and take a vicarious dive into Lekman's memories.
