Wow! Talk about improvement with time. After two years of their debut release, The City Sleeps In Flames, Scary Kids Scaring Kids have released their self titled sophomore album. I think that Scary Kids Scaring Kids have fully unleashed their potential with this self titled album. There seems to be a lot more passion behind the music now that they have had two years to released this album. The voices have matured quite a bit, and there is more skill and quickness behind the guitars in the album. Scary Kids Scaring Kids is a great album with a more darker sort of vibe to it.
Degenerates is the track that will pull you into the album and make you want to listen more to see what kind of surprises will come at you throughout the album. Degenerates has an amazing breakdown towards the end, strong guitar and bass to it. Imagine an album with heavy guitars, great drumming, amazing vocals/screaming, and sweet breakdowns. When you put all those things together, you have Scary Kids Scaring Kids.
There is more lasting value with this album than with their previous debut attempt. Everything is so much more rounded out. All the things one might have found a little rough in the debut, I can guarentee that they have been smoothed out in this album. Check out their single for faces, and if you think it's too soft, find a stream of the song Degenerates. If faces is too hard, find a copy of their debut album. Either way, Scary Kids Scaring Kids is covering all their bases with this release.

This album is a staple in my rotation. Like you said it is very diverse, and much much much improved over their first album. I think these guys are way underrated. If anyone hasn't checked them out, you should do so RIGHT NOW!
