BLESTeNATION is a hip hop crew that loves mixing rock in with their hip hop. They are a heavy hitting group and very talented as well. The group consists of two MCs, Various and Werdplay and in tow is DJ Fafu. Fuck A Mixtape Volume 4 (In A Field Of Realness) is the group just stretching their wings and having a good time.

Right away the have a hard hitting track with "The Way It Is" featuring Travis Barker from Blink 182. I laughed when I heard them sampling and playing with Suicidal Tendencies' "Institutionalized". Consider it a cover, I think. They also sample "Money For Nothing" on "Here That Their", probably one of the best sampling of a classic track. "In The City Of Mbug" is built on "Sunshine Of Your Love". Oh yeah, check out "Epic". Yup, that's Faith No More's track and they come off like Eminem on this track. One of the best plays on Fuck A Mixtape has to be the collaboration with Kardinal Offishal ("Save The Music"), a fantastic track. Aerosmith's "Sweet Emotion" gets the works on "Sweet Emo Shun". With their "I Just Wanna Fuck" they take Jane's Addiction's "Pigs In Zen". Green Jelly's "Three Little Pigs" is the main riff for "I Don't Wanna Know".

Fuck A Mixtape Vol 4 is a great showcase of these two MC's and a fun way to mix up some old classics. In anticipation of BESTeNATION's 2008 release they are giving away this mixtape to get some fans geared up. This is a fun release. It will be interesting to see where they head with the 2008 full length of original material. Download it for free while you still can.
