The Dirty Tricks are rock band hailing from Quebec who have been around since 2003. Yes, they have a a French album title, Sauve Qui Peut but this album is full of driving hard Anglophone rock and roll. They play the kind of rock that demands your attention. In fact songs like "Going Bye Bye" have the potential to be summer rock anthems. There really isn't anything groundbreaking here but the thing that The Dirty Tricks have going for them is that they are rock solid. Seriously! These songs are all strong and powerful. They consist of different tempos. The song "Mal De Tete" is a slower grinding track but every bit as essential as the rip-your-head-off opener "Red Waves". Another great song is their first single, "Blvd" an essential, sing-along, mid-tempo treat. 

Anyone who enjoys straight-ahead, no compromising rock and roll need to check in with The Dirty Tricks. This is some powerful stuff that should keep you rocking into the morning.
