DJ Cam has been on of my favorite Nueveau DJ's for quite some time know and this release just builds on that. Entitled Loa Project II (mysteriously Loa Project I does not exist), DJ Cam's new project is a little more laid back than 1998's, hip hop heavy, The Beat Assasinated. He is back to his instrument hip hop style that helped forge the so called Trip Hop genre that somehow Bristol was seen as the center of the movement. Cam meshes amazing jazz, dub and disco influences in with his hip hop beats and creates an amazing array of laid back tracks. He does utilize a few vocals but they are scarce. It seems as though the Loa Project will end up being one of DJ Cam's greatest efforts to date as he touches on pretty much every style that he has ever played around with. This is chillout music at it's finest.
