More poetry than actual vocal singing, John Trudell creates a beautiful politically infused album here. Trudell, who actually out lived his wife, mother-in-law, and three children who died in a fire shortly after Trudell burned an American flag in Washington DC, bears a striking resemblence to fellow Nebraska singer, Bruce Springsteen. His words are very inspiring and sometimes downright scary when it comes to reality the man has witnessed. The native American chants that weave in and out of most tracks adds that much more mystery to his poetic lyrics. His songs are about fictional characters, political struggles and general life experiences. Produced by longtime friend and contributer Jackson Browne.
