Judah Bauer might be better known for his guitar chops in the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion but for those people who have been following this very talented guitar player, they will know about his Twenty Miles project. This project started shortly after he recorded Now I Got Worry with the JSBX. Judah’s brother Donovan is the only other permanent member playing the drums. With the release of Keep It Coming he has really hit his stride with both songwriting and playing. The songs border on rock but keep a foot firmly planted in the blues. One of the best tracks on Keep It Coming has to be “Rhythm Boundthat has a monstrous backbeat going on. Another track worth mentioning is “Phaedo, a song that just has that magical feel to it and cool, hummable bass riff. Twenty Miles seems like a down to earth, honest project that really hits home. Guests from Boss Hog and North Mississippi All-Stars made it to the recording and help out on a couple of tracks. Judah Bauer and brother Donovan have done a fine job on Keep It Coming.
