With unique album art and some catchy, yet refreshing songs, Arthur Yoria releases the full length album, Handshake Smiles. Arthur Yoria is a unique singer song-writer who has been featured on shows like "The O.C." and "Felicity". Apparently the sound he is producing is very sellable because in addition to television shows, his songs have been in commercials and movies (National Lampoon's Adam & Eve).
Handshake Smiles is a bubbly album filled with acoustic guitars and melodies that are laid back enough to make you think your driving down a highway next to the ocean when the sun is setting. None of the songs on the set a glaringly bad. The first track of the set is a happy go lucky anthem dubbed Should Be. Should Be obviously sets the tempo for the remainder of the album. Songs like Handshake Smiles, Sandy, and I Told You Not To Write Again give you an uplifted feeling that will brighten your day up. While all is just dandy while listening to this album it can be come overbaringly annoying after four or five spins. In the first track Arthur Yoria simply states "The Ducks Look Pretty When They're All In A Row," and it seems that he really did have his "ducks in a row" while creating this uplifting example of what a singer song-writer's shouldbe like. But beware a few to many listens to Handshake Smiles and you will be wanting to slap the smile right off the next face you see.
