Putumayo has gathered up the best of Louisiana blues. Louisiana, more famous for it's Cajun and Zydeco styles of music, is also home to many great R&B musicians such as James Booker, Johnny Adams, Percy Mayfield and many others. You can still hear the Cajun side of things pop out every once and a while but for the most part it is a very unique style of blues on this album. One stand out track that deserves mentioning is the Neville Brothers classic "Voo Doo", produced by Daniel Lanois. It's slinky and sexy and from one of the most famous Louisiana groups in history.
