What do you think when you hear the word Delorean? Up until recently I thought of the car from Back To The Future. Now I think of Carl Delorean howling front man for a swedish band pegged Kamera. Kamera brings a sound that smashes sounds from bands like The Cure and Depeche Mode together. Kamera's new album Resurrection is a set of songs that have a darker and edgier pop feel to them. Think the 80's synth-pop scene with a modern twist. Their single Lies is a perfect intro to the album. It is a song that gives you a preview of the rest of the album. Borderline is the next song and reminds me of the 80's so strongly that if you close your eyes you think of neon spandex and jazzersizing. Resurrection is a throwback album and a damn good one at that. So maybe you just cannot let go of the 80's or if you just dig the sound and want to relive that synth-rock era Kamera made the perfect album for you.
