I believe whole-heartedly that Face the Panic's 2007 release The Reclamation does not deserve a full review in the slightest. The band was hyped up thoroughly due to their members being in some big name bands (Every Time I Die, Herod, Slugfest) however they don't deserve the positive hype they've been receiving. The band was quoted stating their disgust with current hardcore scene turning into the "new glam metal!" However, regardless of whether or not they present themselves in a respectable hardcore way, they're music won't warrant enough fans coming out to see them in all of their defiant glory. The vocals are sub-par at best, resembling Hatebreed, and the instrumentation is boring for a hardcore band. The drums present nothing new that hardcore hasn't heard before and the guitars sound like a teenager wrote up a couple quick chords and threw some distortion behind it.
I haven't felt compelled to delete music from my music library since I discovered some old Nickelback lurking in there, but I am seriously considering deleting Face the Panic's The Reclamation.
