The Dears - End Of A Hollywood Bedtime Story
Montreal Canada is home to one of Canada's most endearing, upcoming bands, the Dears. This 6 piece band is very romantic in their delivery, somewhat like Britain's Pulp and France's Serge Gainsbourg. Their songs about heartbreak are very well orchestrated with loads of strings and organs and a very charismatic vocalist, Murray Lightburn. Being from Montreal one would expect some French to seep in but they seem to do fine with English. Production like this is hard to find on a major label album let alone from a little label like Grenadine. This emotionally charged, romatic gem comes with no apologies and none needed. It will get under your skin and peel back the layers to get to your heart. Bravo!
