This is a bit of a strange collaboration but it’s one of those ones that someone just had to try. DJ Harry is pretty much a rookie DJ and he has friends in the band The String Cheese Incident. What Harry decided to do was take all his friends live recordings and mix them into a funky mix that would be completely different than anything the band had ever done. Well, guess what? He succeeded! Not only did DJ Harry pull of one of the strongest electronica debuts ever, he also managed to work the String Cheese Incident into nothing they had ever heard before. He actually found a link between jam bands and electronica. This was quite a feat. The result is a very funky electronica mix that would fit into a disco or opening for SCI. The music is bouncy and fresh and a treat for any ears. The same could be said for a good jam band. Have a listen and decide for yourself.
