Elwood is a strange cat. He doesn't take many risks (aside from the risque "Bush") put he still manages to create good pop. He wants to be hip hop but but while rapping both his feet are firmly planted in the pop side of things. Some of the tracks are totally loungy and may even be considered soulful. The first single from the album is "Sundown", a cover of the Gordon Lightfoot song. If there is to be any summer anthem this will be it. Even though he dabbles in all sorts of styles he still manages to do them well. A nice varied album.
