Once you put in Interventions And Lullabies by The Format, you find yourself wondering many things. Is this album worth while for you to listen to? Was it worth the money or the time downloading from the internet? Whatever you may be wondering about this album, all your questions will be answered when you listen to The First Single. The First Single is the song that will make you a fan of The Format or will backfire and make you dislike the sound they have to offer. Or in that not-so-rare case, maybe you need to listen to a couple of more tracks until you can decide whether you are a fan of this band or not. Within a matter of minutes, you'll be drawn into the album.
Throughout the album, The Format stays true to the pace they have set for themselves with their album opener, The First Single. You have a lot of your slightly faster songs (sore thumb, tie the rope) and the slower songs (give it up, a mess to be made). Intervention And Lullabies covers the basis to provide a satisfying experience for almost any fan of the alternative/indie genre. Every song serves it's purpose on the album, and there is not one out of place. The Format shows true promise of success to come. They could be the forerunners of a new wave of alternative/indie rock to open the minds of the younger generation.
I strongly recommend this album to anyone who loves to have a nice relaxing experience while listening to their music. No matter the mood, The Format has prepared a song for you. Intervention and Lullabies is a great album that deserves praise and much more recognition than it has in the past years.
