RecommendAnother suprise for me coming from Doghouse Records. This time it's in the form of a five member band from Switzerland but one could never be able to tell just by listening. Doghouse decided to pick up A Sad Ride On The Line Again even though it didn't quite fit in with it's current roster. It does have have some similarities to some other Doghouse bands. Apparently they kick it up a bit live. The songwriting on this album is stellar and Chris' vocals are achingly similar to Thom Yorke although comparisons are unfair. Favez seems a lot more (homesick, lost, blue, depressed, quiet) than the mighty Radiohead. The effect might have something to do with the album being recorded in a church. This album is suited to listen to late at night with all the lights turned low. I look forward to their new album in 2000 being recorded with John Agnello.
