This is some good down-home rock, a trip down memory lane for some and a history lesson for others. It captures a big chunk of the original sleazed-up rock'n'roll while adding just a bit to the original formulas, namely higher production values and more jazz-oriented instrumentation, often times bordering on prog but the steady simple beats and rhythms never let it slide too far into that realm. On the whole, you've got to appreciate the band for letting it all hang out and for letting their influences be their driving force to perfect a classic sound. Might not be the most original stuff, but it's definitely the type of music you'll want in your collection.

A real eye opener.
This CD gives you a good old time revival Sunday go to church meeting feel.
The vocals by Jimmy Hall are down home southern style at its best and the guitar work of Greg Martin is absolutley astounding.
Definitely a soul stirring affair.
Finely placed background vocals from a host of talented artists give the overall blend a real "Gospel gotcha right down to your boots" vibe.
A must have CD for every ones collection
With a list of influences that include Jesus, Robert Johnson, Billy F. Gibbons, Otis Redding how can you deny the passion of the message these boys are projecting.
If you dig the sounds of a 58 PAF-loaded Paul driven through a whack of old Marshall half-stacks, then you will be pleasantly surprised by the solid blues, rock and country that comes in this package.
God Bless the boys for putting it on the line.
