For Stars had me hooked with their amazing debut album and I have been highly anticipating Windows For Stars. Did they disappoint? Not one bit. They surpassed all expectations easily. What should you expect? Well, the best way to put it is emotional almost none moving pop that is sung with a breathy falsetto at most and experimental instrumentation backing singer, Carlos Forster. Very much influenced by the bands of Dean Warham the band just works on that sound until the beauty or sadness (whichever emotion is touched) just oozes out into your every pore. This is a great disc to throw on in the later part of the evening to wind down to. This San Francisco group has a great future with their inventive way of poising the pop metaphor.
