RecommendThe Go-Betweens are officially back from the dead! Yes, Robert Forster and grant McLennan have resurected what could be considered one of the most important "Bands you never heard" cult bands. In 1989 the band decided to call it quits and left behind a legacy of 6 glorious albums that have been recently re-released and remastered by Beggars Banquet. Robert and Grant have asked friends Janet Weiss (Sleater Kinney, Quasi), Sam Coombes (Quasi) and Janet's fellow Sleaters Carrie and Corin. The bio sheet sums up the Go-Betweens songs perfectly by calling them "loose and warm". According to Robert and Grant this is the album they had always wanted. Whether they realize the impact they have had on modern alternative music or not still remains unseen but if you have never heard this wonderful band then now is the time.
