Indianapolis' Facing The Fire, placed 4th. their fanbase obviously loves their energy, as it can be felt from these recordings. Most importantly to their sucess, they don't allow opportunities for explosive bars to go unnoticed.
For instance track one on The Uproar is Silence. A very traditionally written format, and as cheesey as they sound mincing all their vocals together, its a tribute to where Metal used to be. More of a band effort, than four individuals doing what they do best.
I'm not sure what happened on Disappointment Avenue, but the vocals were not impressive at all. Whether its production or a change in personnel, the song could be saved with a good amount of tweaking. Beautiful Control starts off with a terrific intro, and again the vocals stand in the way. I'm leaning more towards finding the right production and sound levels. I say this in the best possible relay, his voice comes off very amateur. The instrumentation drags a bit because of it.
The rest of the tracks have the same formula, a great pace, fair writing and performance but serious changes need to be made to the vocals on the next recording. Though verfy reminiscent of Girls Against Boys, the scratchy full guitar chord sound is a bit repetitive at times. But based on the overall guitar work and drums, I will keep an ear out for any new releases, and expect a large progression.

Wow to all who like good old fashion rock with a hint of new wave. This is the band for you. With songs like falling, taking it back and silent they have a sound that separates them from the rest of the field. The songs actually have a hint of 90's rock but at the same time they sound fresh. The lyrics are great, the solo's are great, and the drums are great. What more could you ask for? I really recommend everyone to listen to ftf because they have alot of talent in every aspect. I look forward to hearing a studio album very soon.
