Maybe I'm just getting lazy but damn if I didn't catch myself liking Come Around, the debut album from Epitaph's new pop signing Sing It Loud. It might be one of those affairs that start off strong and wane over time but the pop hooks of this debut can't be denied, even if they do sound all to familiar. Come Around was produced by Josh Cain, guitarist of fellow Epitaph popsters Motion City Soundtrack and you can tell that he must have had a big influence on their recorded sound.

The album kicks off with "I've Got A Feeling", a song that is one of the more laid back tracks on the album, a strange choice for openers but opens the album just the same. Then they seamlessly move onto "We're Not Afraid", and at this point it is plainly apparent that there is no punk in this pop band. They are 99% pop and do it quite well. Then they hit their title track and it is justified that they chose this as the name of the album, a strong pop song. Then on "Don't Save Me" the change things up slightly, which is good for a band with this much sugar in the ingredients. Alex Gaskarth from All Time Low makes an appearance on the track "No One Can Touch Us".

Sing It Loud plays it safe with their debut album keeping the 11 songs at an appropriate 36 minutes. The 3 minute pop song is their specialty and they don't want to stretch them out any further. Watch for these guys, I wouldn't be surprised if we see them climbing the charts.
