Greenwood is a Toronto Ontario-based four piece hard rock band that is picking up steam after releaseing Horus On The Horizon. The foursome has been playing together since 1998 and have come up with quite a unique sound. They have a lot in common with the stoner rock genre that engulfs bands like Fu Manchu and Nebula but Greenwood have more dynamics to them. Greenwood really get things rolling with the album opener, “Morphine where it sounds like a freight train out of control gaining speed. The album closes out with “Seas of Another World, which almost has a middle-eastern flavor to it. The production value provided by Greg Dawson and Steve Donohoe at Harlow Studios really makes this an superior product. I really wouldn’t be surprised if Greenwood finds themselves smack in the middle of a record deal after touring this album extensively. This is a young band but they definitely have a lot going for them. Once they really get comfortable with one another then Greenwood should be ready for the big leagues.
