RecommendOn Do The Colapse, Robert Pollard and company manage to pull off a "complete" album. Done in full stereo qualities with Ric Ocasek at the production helm they manage to make the jump from lo-fi to hi-fi quite gracefully. It took me a couple of listens to be able to appreciate the qualities contained but after a few I understood where they were coming from. Don't worry, all the hook and beautiful harmonies are still here, just in polished style. On some of their other recordings it seemed like a song would only start and then it would be over. On Do The Colapse the songs sound complete. A nice, well produced effort by Guided By Voices.
