The Halogens have a "bright" future and not just in light bulbs. This is a pop band with all the good in tact. This Burlington based band isn't afraid to wear it's heart on it's sleeve while they dive headlong into Brit-pop tinged ditties. Their obvious influences are some of the upper echelon of the Brit-pop scene while more of the underlying leaning come from the likes of Big Star. This is a band that reminds you of a hundred bands yet sounds different enough to stand out of the crowd. If I was to say one negative thing about this album it would have to be the production. It seems a bit amaturish. The songwriting more than make up for it though.
