Well this isnt anti-climactic.  The Answer (U.K.) landed on the stack of backlogued cd's.  It has really not been a great experience for me.  I'm stuck somewhere between desperately seeking a whole new sound on the rest of the disc which came out today (November 15th)? That's what our database says....The possibility of a Saturday release is not what bothers me, it's the music coming from my speakers that bothers me.  These guys have a solid guitar rock, bar sound.  When you open the package, they are suggested to Led Zeppelin, Free, AC/DC, Black Crowes and Kings Of Leon.  God bless Dead End Record if they put that same sticker on the full length.  For good or ill, depending on where you stand for I believe in a little thing called love, there's much more The Darkness than anything here friends.

While I'll agree with AC/DC fans, and maybe a twinge of Zeppelin, the only song on here worthy of listening to again (and quite honestly over and over, which is what irks me about the disc), is The Doctor.  As I began complaining about their sound, this song began playing, and my opinion immediately changed.  The Doctor is a phenomenal cross-breed of blues (classic or contemporary).  Its really on this song, the lead vocals take the most accurate comparisson, Jeff Keith (Tesla).  Understand something right now, thats me giving a lot of respect, cause regardless of what you say, Keith has one of the best voices in Rock (Glam or not) history.  Then, the fourth and final track of this pre-emptive EP is a live recording of a song called Come Follow Me.   Though this song starts more like Steel Dragon (Rock Star 2001) than anything else, and they use more of the un-impressive constant full sound, I can hear the good time to be had watching these guys play live.  Cut this EP in half....After taking the last two tracks and running, I'm actually excited to hear the rest of the record.  Get through the glitz and glamour ok English lads trying to sell records in America, and peel through the Lenny Kravitzesque riffs, and you may be searching for results of the full-length yourself.

reviewer note: I did receive a bonus disc (DVD), but I did not have time to view.

I just listened a bit to their songs on their player at myspace...I like them, even though they're a bit lighter genre than i usually listen to...hear the influences, but I don't think these guys should be labeled as another ac/dc or zep or anything...
