•   Hellbound Livin Love

While not quite rocking enough to be rockabilly, Hellbound Billy does lean that way. The band tends to lean to the lighter side of genre but still managing to appeal to that audience. The vocalist does have a bit of a Glen Danzig sound going for him but that's probably where the comparisons end. There are more in common with the likes of swing bands like Stray Cats. 

The EP starts out with "Lock Your House Down", a medium tempo swing track that sets a nice pace for the rest of the 6 songs. "Dead and Gone" is quite a mellow song that takes the feel you get from the opener and lays it out flat. Call it ballad if you will. Then they really rock out with "I'm In Love With A Vampire". The production of The Hangover Sessions ends up making you feel that you are listening to it in a smokey lounge, quite appropriate. I felt that there was something missing on The Hangover Sessions but still can't quite figure out what it is. The musicianship is decent, the vocals are pleasant. I guess it might just be the mastering and production that seems like it is missing out. I'm not sure if Hellbound Billy did their own production or not but it's something that might take this sort of project to the next level.
