This true Bossa Nova remix album is all classics straight from Brazil. One catch, they are all remixed with beats and samples. Sounds like a scary prospect but the group of three DJ's manage to pull it off quite nicely adding a new life to these old tracks. A bit of the original track is lost but the benefits are clear. Almost breakbeats at times and other just barely touched. The album is very creative and works in almost all cases. There is the odd track that the old and new sounds just don't jive together but only on a couple tracks. An adventurous undertaking breathing life into old classics.
