Goblin Cock are at it again. If you remember a couple years ago when Rob Crow released his first metal album under the Goblin Cock moniker then you'll probably also be aware that Rob is one prolific Mofo. Sure, it's been a few years since Goblin Cock's inception but he's released albums from Pinback as well as his solo Living Well. He goes by Lord Phallus in this band but rest assured you'll know it's Mr. Crow. Especially on Come With Me If You Want To Live. I found this album to be a lot similar to that of Pinback and his solo efforts. It lacked the bombastic qualities that the debut Goblin Cock album had. Sure, heavier than Pinback but not quite as obnoxious as Bagged and Boarded.

That's not to say that Come With Me If You Want To Live isn't any good. This is still damn fine hard rock bordering on the metal realm. Songs like "Big Up Your Willies" are instant classics. The song "We Got A Bleeder" is equally impressive. And these gems are all over the album. At times I think that Mr. Crow has just beefed up some of his Pinback songs but that just goes to show that he is a brilliant songwriter and that his songs can translate almost any genre. Next up Rob Crow's country band.
