New York City is certainly the place of many tastes.  One of the latest formations to release something from the city that never sleeps, Strange Day, has a salad bowl of different influences.  From Metallica to Soundgarden, Judas Priest, Alice in Chains, Tool and Living Colour. Though often times lead vocalist Fulgencio comes off sounding more like Glenn Danzig, you can definitely most of the above in their sound.

Their debut LP, Face The Change is a blended dark imagination of all sorts in Rock/Metal.  Track six "Fade" sits more on the AIC draw, but has a glaringly obvious need for tweaking in distortion and vocal production.  Though I dig the solo towards the end, and overall this is a well structured song, it can be improved.  Unfortunately this is the story on most of these songs. The lead track "45 Pills", has me thinking this is Scott Weiland singing, but the crunchy 2 bit distorted guitars of the verse never lead into anything impressive.

Overall, Strange Day, has a strong potential that should have them staying up late at night to work on.  Keep digging at it boys...
