Vinyl – Yay, or Nay?

Dave Barry once said, “The four building blocks of the universe are fire, water, gravel and vinyl.” However, Joshua Homme also said, “Vinyl has gotten to the point where it’s exclusively for the collector, I guess.” Now, I know that loads of bands, including independant artists, release their stuff on vinyl, but what does the general MusicEmissions community think of vinyls?

1st annual Pearl Street Festival

Written by Brian Rutherford and Jason Henshaw Saturday, October 24th was a gorgeous day for The Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Granbury, TX, just outside the vicinity of crazed Halloween shoppers and blue skies gazers lurked a first annual charity event. Just about 35 miles Southwest of Fort Worth, TX, under those very same blue skies and […]

Google to launch online music service

Thinks have just heated up in the online music world… or are about to. Google is teaming up with iLike and Lala (one of my favorite streaming sites) to bring band pages with pretty much everything you ever need on a band–pics, discography, lyrics, videos, song previews and yes, a way for you to purchase […]
