Janus The Band

Janus is a new band that comes by way of Chicago. We managed to gather up some of the band’s favorite albums, both past and present. Here’s what makes Janus tick.

Alice In Chains – Black Gives Way To Blue :  A well executed collection of songs that doesn’t make a glorified karaoke album with new singer William DuVall. Respect and Justice have been served.

Pearl Jam – Backspacer : A short and great to the point album that that reflects more on their step on it and go attack.

Two Banks of Four – Three Street Worlds : Nu-Jazz that is a masterful accomplishment in modern music, on par with stellar works throughout the ages.

Porcupine Tree – In Absentia : Of all the releases, this album is ideal for first time listeners to take in their take on metal, prog, and highly skilled musicality.

Katatonia – Night is The New Day : Its appeal goes far beyond metal, goth, or what have you. It’s the sound of a veteran band finally having all the pieces fall into place

Love that the AiC album is listed here. It’s incredible. As good as it is, though, nothing compares to the old stuff:
