Foolproof Your EPK With These Five Steps Plan To Get Your Music Featured in Major Websites

Don’t waste your time. No matter how good your music is, if your EPK sucks it’s no use. You’ve wasted your time on the EPK that will not get you more press.

While EPKS are considerably excellent for landing more gigs or gaining sponsors, it’s sole purpose is to gain you more press. Just with it’s content your EPK file should grab a journalist’s attention and give them a clear idea of what they can write about. After all, what’s the point of writing about you if it doesn’t tell them how awesome you are?
So to ease your mind and ensure you that your EPK is effective here is a five step plan for getting that EPK to work for you, not against you.

High resolution pictures engage viewers and get them to connect. Remember that saying, “a picture is worth a thousand words.” Let’s make sure those words are good ones. By having these high resolution pictures it gives the viewers a way to connect to the visual aesthetics of your brand.

  • Step 2.
  • Include reviews, past performances and client lists.

These are facts of your career. This funny thing about “facts” work as a solid piece of content because it has something that people look at . Firstly, it leads to lend you credibility. Secondly, it’s aligning you with well-known artists, establishments or brands.

  • Step 3.
  • Make your EPK pdf file interactive.

Putting your bio, experience and social media stats onto a one sheeted document falls flat when you actually make more work for the viewer to check out your links. No one wants to copy and past all your links. They want a one-click solution so they can be sent right to your destination. It could be your website, your social media profile or even directed to opening their email application to crafting an email already addressed to you.

  • Step 4.
  • Put the time and effort into your EPK.
