YesClassic-rockers Yes will not be playing their 26-city tour this summer, which was scheduled to begin in Quebec next month. Founding member and frontman Jon Anderson expressed disappointment over the tour’s cancellation, but stated that his doctors advised him to spend the upcoming months resting and recovering from his recent respiratory attack. Anderson was admitted to the hospital last month after suffering a severe asthma attack and has now been diagnosed with acute respiratory failure. The band plans to put touring on hold until Anderson fully recovers.

Oh, I can imagine that Solitary is probably quite upset about this. Me, meh… I don’t care one way or the other. Not a huge fan.

I was about to buy my dad tickets for father’s day til i saw this. I’m kinda relieved; he’s devestated.

You’re right Dennis, this is a bummer. Not only because I would have loved to catch this line-up of Yes, but mostly because I worry for Anderson’s ability to do much in the future with problems like this. Here’s hoping he recovers fully and promptly. Tell your dad I feel his pain kev, haha.
