Indie Of The Year 2008

It is time for the second annual Indie Of The Year 2008. This year we have some fabulous prizes up for grabs for the band or artist that can get the most fans out to vote for their album. I’ll let you peruse the prizes on the contest page. Software from IK Multimedia, Custom T-Shirts from Underground Squeegee… And so much more. Chances are you are in a band or know an unsigned band from your hometown that would do with the exposure a contest of this caliber provides.

Last years winner, Amplexus, went on to grace the pages of Alternative Press as one of the best unsigned bands of the year. Will your band do the same?

As an artist: You can enter the contest for free. Any albums that were entered last year are not eligible this year. Head over to the contest page to enter your band/album.

As a fan/user: You have three votes. You can vote anytime between now and the end of the contest, October 31, 2008.  You can’t vote for the same album more than once. You don’t need to excercise all of your votes but likely there will be at least three artists worthy of your votes.

Again, you can register your band immediately and then try and get votes up until 11:00PM EST October 31, 2008. Good luck!

I can feel that this year’s contest is going to be good. We’ve already got a lot of great contenders signed up. Still plenty of time to get your band in the running.
