According to NME Chris Martin of Coldplay is shocked at the allegation but states “Whatever will be will be”.
What do you think, do you think Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida” is a rip off of Joe Satriani’s “If I Could Fly“? I heard some similarities in melody but that’s about it.
I love these lawsuits. Especially when a lot of it is proven to be subliminally responsible. Or when the copycat has never even heard the original.

If one takes enough time, one will find about a million similar potential lawsuits. What this really boils down to is that Satriani is probably broke, and Coldplay are probably the furthest from broke they can be. Good job, douchebag. Next up to sue Coldplay; Peter Gabriel, because “Violet Hill” sounds like something he would have written. Get a clue, you guitar-wanking piece of garbage.
^pretty much, yeah
