According to stereogum, once-Omaha rockers Cursive are to release their sixth studio LP, Mama, I’m Swollen, this spring.   Recorded with Mike Mogis, Mama is said to sound reminiscent of Cursive’s earlier albums, promising a much less poppy/accessible sound than on Happy Hollow and hopefully something more guitar-centric and grating.  Cursive have always been a chameleon sonically, never releasing the same album twice, so it should be interesting to see how the band recreates itself for the sixth time—now perhaps without any extra instrumental embellishments (cello, horn sections, etc.).Mama, I’m Swollen unordered tracklist:
