The team here is pretty excited about 2009. Yes, 2009 marks the site’s 1oth anniversary and we’ve gone through many changes over the years (anyone here actually remember the “Genie” phase?). We’ve just gone through a major change moving the backend over to the world class blogging software WordPress. We’ve dropped the forums in favor of moving the conversations over to the artist and album pages.
But this one even blows me away.
We just hit 10,000 albums in the database!
Yes, I think 2009 is going to be a big year for Music Emissions. The development team is already hard at work on streamlining things, optimizing code and adding new features. Keep your eyes open for some of the changes happening. Some will be announced, others will just “happen”.

I think I may have heard inklings of “Genie”, but no, not familiar. 10,000 albums, wow! It makes you gulp a little extra… and while in the whole idea of music and how many are out there, its awesome every single one of those albums was entered with personable attention, and not pushed through with software. Odd happening on the 10 anniversery no less!
