This week we are taking a break from the geographic specific podcasts and taking you into some of my favorite releases of late. All new releases but only really one new band in the mix and you can’t even consider them Rookies. That would be Fever Ray which features the female vocalist of The Knife. Enjoy!

Loving the layered intro, lol@led zep! The Jason lytle was a bit too slow for my taste… Loved the TOTR, no surprise there…they seem to always be ahead of their time. Forest Knolls is just about my favorite here… really dig their multi genre mix. Many Ghosts (Akron/Family) was climatically dope, I can see why this one is sticking to you… very deep and defined…Gomez…. this was the one that had my curiousity underscored. I’m loving it…. its terrific how these guys have just created their own wave over the years. Dennis, you’re definitely sticking to a particular style these days, but its nameless!!!! lol
Solid mix.. I pretty much echo what hstisgod said. I liked the Gomez, and TV on the Radio, and Fever Ray was something new to put on my radar. Tipsy was kind of out there, not really my cup of tea but I’m sure some out there would enjoy it.. I recently heard another song by John Vanderslice called Sudden Oak Death which I could not stop listening to. However, that song was by The Mountain Goats and John Vanderslice.. He must have some kind of thing for trees or something.
