Mike Herrera from MxPx has a new Country band going and they are called Mike Herrera’s Tumbledown. He’s taken some time out to give you some great recommendations for the week.
1. Neutral Boy-Weapons of Mass Seduction-if you like your punk rock dirty and beer soaked, this is the band for you. Find them in Washington State to Kansas City and anywhere in between.
2. Watashi Wa-Eager Seas-this band is now called Lakes but they have a ton of traditional instrumentation and great songs. Find them in Southern CA.
3. Ian McFeron-Let It Ride- my Band Tumbledown played with him in Hollywood but he’s from Seattle, WA and has even played my local watering hole, the Manette Saloon in Bremerton, WA. He’s a real good singer/songwriter with a band.
4. Limbeck-Hi, Everything’s Great-I think they broke up but they have a few great albums and they toured a ton when they were around. Rock with a country twang.
5. Gasoline Heart-You Know Who You Are-the greatest rock band that no one knows about yet. They drink, smoke and cuss. They are like Tom Petty on pills, but only a little bit. Maybe U2 with a bad hangover!

Limbeck I’ve enjoyed in the past if I recall correctly…Neutral Boy wasn’t bad… the cheesey side of me really dug Gasoline Heart…Tumbledown wasn’t bad..I don’t dig the vocals, but the music itself was great.
