I can’t believe we are already at 50 podcasts! This week we bring you the best of current British music. Some of these bands you will have heard, some you will wonder why you haven’t. The bottom line is that these are what people in the motherland are listening to at this time and it is good to look across the pond every once and a while.

  • To Lose My Life – White Lies (To Lose My Life)
  • The House – Razorlight (Slipway Fires)
  • Hidden Shame – Elvis Costello (Secret, Profane and Sugarcane)
  • Dog Days Are Over – Florence And The Machine (Lungs)
  • Fire – Kasabian (West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum)
  • Don’t Upset The Rhythm – Noisettes (Wild Young Hearts)
  • For What It’s Worth – Placebo (Battle For The Sun)
  • Pearl’s Dream – Bat For Lashes (Two Suns)

If you’re liking Florence/Noisettes (awesome live btw) I’d recommend La Roux, and have a list to the new Art Brut stuff, it’s pretty awesome. User reviews up soon ;)

    Hey guys,
    I’m from Cambridge, England.
I shall recommend some interesting, reasonably undergroudn british bands around at the moment:
    Broken Records
    Derwyddon Dr Gonzo
    Slow Club
The Temper Trap (Australian, based in London)

Anyway yeah they’re a nice selection.
    get listenin’
