Brian’s taken ownership of this Themecast idea but I thought I would hijack it for this week. I’ve got 30 minutes worth of music and the rough theme throughout all of the songs will be revealed if you listen closely and figure out the song titles. I won’t be given them away at all.
- Sick Muse - Metric (Fantasies)
- Planet Health - Chairlift (Does You Inspire You)
- Mend (To Fix, To Repair) - Elsiane (Hybrid)
- There Are Some Remedies Worse Than The Disease - This Will Destroy You (Young Mountain)
- Subterranean Homesick Blues - Red Hot Chili Peppers (The Uplift Mofo Party Plan)
- Hymn For The Medical Oddity - The Weakerthans (Reunion Tour)
- Kings Of Medicine - Placebo (Battle For The Sun)
Once you think you may have the theme in my head post it down in the comments. If you guess it, you’ve just won yourself a $25 Amazon Gift Card. Good luck!
[EDIT] NOTE, this contest is now closed. I’ve added the song titles for your convenience. The answer was “Health Care Reform”.

Digging the intro D! Loving the usage of This Will Destroy You… Those guys kick serious arse! Old school RHCP is always good for the soul! Not ever been a fan of the Weakerthans, but I enjoyed that track… as for the theme…I have an idea, but I also have an idea that I am ineligible lol.
Haven’t found the time to give this a fair listen.. Is there a deadline?
No deadline. Just first listener to identify the theme. Could be today. Could be next month! Good luck all!
it’s health care.
Bing! Close enough. Health Care Reform. Congratulations. can you email info@musicemissions.com you email address and I’ll get you the Amazon gift card for the prize.
Lol, bing? Dennis, when did you turn into “Ned Ryerson”? Gonna start selling life insurance too? Lol gj bbbjkmbrly
Bah, that’ll show me to be busy with school and work. Ha ha nah actually I haven’t even used up my last 25$ gift card.. Anyway congrats kimberly
May I make a request? If anyone is willing to share, I would love to hear what you guys end up buying with these gift cards. Lol, Nasty you’ve won Themecast the first time, then almost had it the second and third time. Start calling you Mr. Melody!
Ha ha I think I’m the only one stupid enough to give it a shot even if I’m not even close..
Anyway, yeah I just bought mp3s from a disc I couldn’t find anywhere. So I think I’ve only used like 10 bucks off of it, do they expire? I don’t think so, maybe I’ll save it and try to win a couple more of these so I can buy myself something nice!
lol coo…
Normally, bands like Elsiane don’t really register with me as being something worth listening to, but this album has a stranglehold on my ears. Something about the vocals is addicting. The music is also pretty good.
