- Ride Down – Handsome (Handsome)
- Pit and the Pendulum – Over Stars and Gutters (Consider This Your Curse)
- Ingest The Ash – The Red Chord (Fed Through The Teeth Machine)

LOVING this, well done Dennis :) Pit & The Pedulum = awesome
Thanks. Indie pop/rock is my forte but I do love me some good raw metal from time to time.
Evergreen Terrace has come a long way since I first heard them a few years back. Didn’t care for them then, and now, I’m just sort of on the fence, so progress has been made.
The Diablo Swing Orchestra is new to me… and to the rest of you its new to, its exactly as it sounds. Brian Setzer and Serj Tankian (sp.?) at a Natzi Rally! Very interesting 40′s style Swing with just a tactful adaptation of Metal. Russian Circles has balls and clarity in a still very under respected instrumental genre. This is a great find! Sort of life Shuteye Unison meets Pearl Jam, minus the geek of Eddie Vedder.
Converge ( EVR ?) has an explosive outro that will blow any Metal fans mind. Nice carefulness on saying Handsome (instead of Hanson lol)… The music itself is c.c. (cookie cutter). Even with the vocals being “tasty” by some standards, I cant feel anything unique here, and feel like I’ve heard this song before.
Pit & Pendulum, I’m sorry Emmy (Archelon), I’m digging some of your suggestions, but not this sponsorship. But then again, balls to the wall punk has never been my thing. Though, I should say fans of River City Rebels should flock like seagulls (pun intended?) to this . Either way, I’m gonna pass on this. The Red Chord was sick bidness !!!!!!!!!!!!! A lot like this Long Island band Stryk-9 (Guernica as well), I enjoyed the melody, as plastic as it may have come off. The bridges and solo’s were glorious in a non-cheesey way. Short and sweet, this is how metal should end a podcast.
Thanks for filling in for Kev, I’m sure he’ll be back soon! We’re definitely missing his ‘metalicness’. Overall, a good podcast, picked up a couple of new bands to listen for.
