News broke this week that the influential and massively popular electronic group M83 is looking for an additional band member. The details listed below come directly from M83′s official website, the brainchild of Anthony Gonzalez. The only bad news are a few of the rules: it limits the auditions to those who already live in LA, and you have to leave for Mexico in October! Small price to pay for the opportunity to experience the rock n roll lifestyle up close and personal. We hope to catch up with M83, and if you are lucky–yourself–at the Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin this coming November.
“An opportunity has arisen for a suitable musician to join the forthcoming M83 World Tour which commences in Mexico in October. We are looking for a multi-instrumentalist based in the Los Angeles area who can play Guitar, Bass and Keyboards. They should also be able to sing and ideally have previous knowledge of working with Ableton.
The tour is scheduled to last up to 12 months and the successful musician would need to be available to work throughout that period of time. You must be a US citizen or already have an existing US work Visa.
If you are interested in applying for this role then you will need to make a short video recording of yourself showing your proficiency across the instruments listed above. Upload the video to YouTube…

Available digitally, the EP features an impressive set of remixes for the new single “Midnight City” by Trentemøller, Big Black Delta, Man Without Country, and Team Ghost.
