RE:Generation is a documentary that follows five of the world’s biggest DJ’s–Skrillex, Mark Ronson, Pretty Lights, DJ Premier, and The Crystal Method–as they set out to put a different spin on the history of music. Five DJs turn the tables on the history of music. Follow DJ Premier, Mark Ronson, Skrillex, Pretty Lights and The Crystal Method as they remix, recreate and re-imagine five traditional styles of music. From the classical perfection of the Berklee Symphony Orchestra to the bayou jams of New Orleans jazz, our five distinctive DJs collaborate with some of today’s biggest musicians to discover how our musical past is influencing the future. It is directed by Amir Bar-Lev.

Update: The official Re:Generation YouTube page recently uploaded a new video.  It’s a in depth and intriguing look at two musical legends working together: Skrillex and The Doors.  It’s a rare and unique opportunity to see cutting edge trailblazers of their own genres and generations collaborating. The film is set for release in select theaters on February 16th and February 23rd only.
