Does it seem like almost every other week, we are updating you about Curren$y? That’s probably because the emerging New Orleans hip-hop star doesn’t know how to take a break! Still hot off the heels from releasing his major label Weekend At Burnie’s and currently touring in support of it, the MC has just dropped a new single, “Luxury Sport“. It was originally to be part of an upcoming compilation album with fellow Jet Life Recording artists, Trademark Da Skydiver & Young Roddy, called Jet World Order, scheduled to release on November 29th. This track features Jet Life Recordings protege and newly inked Mikey Rocks, from hip-hop group the Cool Kids. The song and beat in the background is “Run” by Ghostface Killah. You will find the track listing below, but it didn’t make the cut. You can download it from here.
Curren$y, also known as Spitta Andretti, has been really busy year, and it seems that he will most likely keep up a similar pace for 2012. This year has included 2 tours, 2 mixtapes (Covet Coup and Verde Terrace), and the full length Weekend At Burnie’s. Even though he broke his ankle jumping off stage at a Rock The Bells concert in Los Angeles, he just announced by Twitter he will be working with The Alchemist again. They will once again be releasing a mixtape on 4/20, this time called Re-Conversionalize, serving as the sequel to Covert Coup. This is not including his next planned full length, The Stoned Immaculate, which he just tweeted should arrive in March.
Another song, the opening track, appeared online yesterday. Here is the track listing for Jet World Order, along with the album cover art, via Hip Hop N More:
