It is no secret that Florence + the Machine have been working full time since the announcement of their sophomore album, Ceremonials. In late August the video for, “What the Water Gave Me” hit the internet showing us a behind the scenes look at the recording of the sophomore album. In October, with the album release just weeks away, the video for “Shake It Out” had Florence trying to shake the devil off her back during a haunting masquerade.
Now a month later, Florence + the Machine have released the video for a slightly shorter version of “No Light, No Light”, which shows Florence holding onto the side of a building in NYC, while a Vodouisant pokes pins in a doll representing Welch. Eventually Welch falls from the building, but is saved after she shatters through stained glass windows into a church.
The single, “No Light, No Light”, will be released on January 16th. What do you think of the video?
