As 2011 winds down, the best of the year lists have already started to be complied and published. It’s also time to start looking forward to new music scheduled for release in 2012. When it comes to the music scene these days, there’s no place quite like Brooklyn or Sweden. Miike Snow released one of the greatest and most underrated albums in 2010, and now are gearing up to release their sophomore effort soon. Here is a brief timeline of announcements the trio has officially made from their Facebook account:
Oct 7 Miike Snow has begun mixing the new record this week and will release the first new music from it before the year’s end. Thank you Thank You
Nov 29 The album is complete. The videos are being shot. The artwork is being finished. The tour dates are being planned… News of all this and more in the next few days. Thank you Thank you!
Dec 2 As the new music is beginning during the festive season – we decided to get involved. We’ll be giving away these festive treats throughout December and they will be available on www.MiikeSnow.com on Tuesday to mark the first play of a new cut from the new album. The first single won’t be with you until January, but until then we’ll be launching a new song on Tuesday Dec 6th as a taste of things to come. We’ll tell you where and how you can tune in and listen on Monday. Happy Weekend!
