Yes, you are indeed reading a new post from 2012, and yes, you are reading this correct. In perhaps the biggest rock/alternative music news of the new year, it has been confirmed that At The Drive-In will be reuniting after 11 years. The group went on an indefinite hiatus and of course later went on to form The Mars Volta, and Sparta. This has been officially confirmed by the band’s website, Twitter account, and how I first read about it, Alternative Press. And according to both YouTube and Prefix, Mars Volta is also prepping new material! Update: The guys have also just been confirmed to play at both of this year’s Coachella events!
